We are a diverse team of Creative Arts Psychotherapists and Supervisors with a passion for providing transformative impact.


Coming from a variety of different cultures and backgrounds, in addition to working for Natural Genius we also work in Community Interest Companies, the NHS, and in private practice across Bristol, Gloucestershire & Oxford.

Over the past five years we have nurtured long term relationships with the companies, charities & schools we work with – providing reliability, integrity and wisdom to improve staff wellbeing, client outcomes and student progress.  

Hannah Creighton
psychotherapist & supervisor

  • Hannah is a freelance Dance Movement Psychotherapist and Creative Clinical Supervisor for Creative Art Psychotherapists, PhD students & School Counsellors.

    She is currently working in alternative provision, mainstream schooling, residential settings and in the field of degenerative disease.

    Hannah is currently using her experience with Parkinson’s Disease to support her UKCP accreditation, and has contributed her experience working in the Creative Arts with families of adopted children to the publication of The Arts Creative Therapies for Complex Trauma (2017).

    Deeply passionate about the power of dance in the Healing Arts, Hannah is returning to University to strengthen and develop her skill set for Dance in Cancer Care.

Sam bloomfield
psychotherapist & supervisor

  • Sam has worked in special needs day and residential education for 8 years. He has been a Creative Arts Psychotherapist since 2017, doing his MA with Dance Voice in Bristol. During his MA he was employed by UWE as a mental health mentor.

    In 2018 Sam started Natural Genius, to provide Creative Arts Psychotherapy to children and adults in Bristol. Sam trains on trauma informed practice, understanding behaviour, creativity, mental health, co-regulation, meditation, and contact improvisation.

    In addition to running group, family and 1:1 therapy, Sam facilitates group reflective practice and group and 1:1 supervision, across a variety of provisions in Bristol in the charity and education sectors. 

jess BAUM
Psychotherapist 

  • Jess Baum is an independent HCPC registered Art Psychotherapist working across the third sector and in private practice. 

    A writer and contributor to Arts & Health research, Jess also acts as an honorary advisor to the International Journal of Art Therapists and the British Association of Art Therapists.

    Specialising in using clay and working outdoors, Jess facilitates one-to-one and group sessions with children, young people, and adults. 

    Jess currently manages the Natural Genius Art Psychotherapy provision in a supported living centre in Bristol for adults with learning disabilities.

Mareike Ringena
Psychotherapist 

  • Mareike is passionate about exploring creative ways that enable a deepen connection with the self and our environment. 

    Working with a person-centered approach, she offers a range of creative ways for connection, expression and exploring deeper psychological issues – through movement, play, the use of art and imagery, as well as talking.

    Dance Movement Psychotherapy can help by using the creative process to unlock our own inner resources, find alternative perspectives, and realise our sense of safety within the body. 

    Her core work lies in providing a safe and trusting environment in which inner processes can unfold in their own time and their unique way. 

    Since 2012 she has also been practicing Focusing – allowing a deep sensitivity towards the more subtle and complex ways of inner experiencing.

    She currently work in a special needs school as well as a Creative Therapy Centre, working with children, teenagers and adults.

Silvia Carderelli-Gronau

  • Silvia is a Dance Movement Psychotherapist, Movement Artist, Dance Teacher and filmmaker with experience in improvisation, contact improvisation, somatics, ensemble practices and teaching in Higher Education.

    Silvia is a client-centered DMP. Her practice focuses on Somatic and Creative Processes to support clients to connect to their innate capacity to process difficulties and to find positive transformation.

    With over 20 years experience since graduating with a DMP postgraduate diploma from Roehampton University, Silvia has worked in psychiatric hospitals, prisons, schools, care homes and special needs schools.

THEO BImson
Psychotherapist 

  • Theo is a Person-centered, integrative, DMP with two years of clinical experience and over 10 years of experience serving vulnerable communities globally through creative practices.

    His approach focuses on nurturing emotional regulation, fostering healing, and promoting personal growth, through creative exploration and embodied interventions.

    Inspired by the transformative power dance and therapy have had on Theo's own life, he has passionately pursued a career dedicated to facilitating positive change for others.

kimberley pena
supervisor 

  • Kimberley's practice is a humanistic, integrated approach drawing from Psychodynamic, Gestalt, Person-Centered and developmental theories of psychotherapy to support awareness and understanding towards growth and change, in body and mind.

    Kimberley works in both the NHS mental Health service and private practice offering therapy and supervision sessions to a range of clients and needs.

    Kimberley is a Registered Dance Movement Psychotherapist, Specialist Mental Health Practitioner, Clinical Supervisor and Dance Artist. Registered with ADMPUK and UKCP. 

    Kimberley is also an accredited Acceptance and Commitment Therapist Level 2.

Sarah Castiglione
PSYCHOTHERAPIST & Supervisor 

  • Sarah is a registered Dance Movement Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor working in private practice and as a contractor for therapeutic trauma informed agencies. She has a varied background of skills in project work and business support roles working with senior leadership teams. She is integrative and humanistic using Person-Centred approaches and embodied methods, working in the creative reflective to support therapy process and relationship.

    Sarah’s portfolio includes independent and collaborative projects building and delivering Clinical Supervision groups, workshops to support reflective practice and group therapy sessions which include a balance of creative reflection and psycho-education. Her aim is to help people to connect more deeply to themselves and others and to move into more supportive, connecting, confident and enriching place in their lives.

  • Gemma is a Dance Movement Psychotherapist obtaining an MA from the University of Roehampton. With a commitment to neurodiversity-affirming, anti-racist, anti-oppressive and inclusive practice she employees a humanistic, integrative and creative approach to psychotherapy working with individuals, families and groups. 

    Since 2016 she has worked alongside children and young people in residential care, children's homes, community and specialist provisions. Gemma is currently working as a Creative Arts Psychotherapist in adult mental health services, children and families with care experience and educational provisions.

    Gemma brings empathy, professionalism and a passion for fostering safety, self-discovery and meaning making through embodied expression, creativity and talking.

    Gemma is a registered Dance Movement Psychotherapist with ADMP UK undertaking UKCP trainee accreditation.

Fiona anderson

  • Fiona Anderson is a Dance Movement Psychotherapist and Creative Practitioner working across the third sector and in private practice.

    Her approach to therapy is integrative, with a person-centred approach at the heart of her practice. Since graduating in 2019, Fiona has been working with children, young people and adults affected by parental substance use, bereavement and experience of trauma, abuse and neglect.

    Fiona is passionate about the power of the therapeutic relationship alongside creative expression to provide an environment for growth and change. She sees the development of compassion as vital in improving mental health and wellbeing.

    Fiona uses a multi-disciplinary creative approach to meet her clients where they are. With a background in art and theatre, the use of imagery, play and improvisation are also key elements of her work.

gwen williams

  • Gwen is a body and movement focused psychotherapist. She has an MA in Dance Movement Psychotherapy and is registered with ADMP. She is an accredited Yoga Therapist with the Minded Institute, with a focus on yoga therapy for mental health, PTSD and trauma, and women’s health. Gwen is also a Focusing Practitioner and has a movement based art practice.

    Gwen is passionate about supporting people to find ways to feel more comfortable in themselves, in their bodies, and in the world. She offers an approach where the body, movement and creative process can be used to explore and express feelings, stories and experiences, in safe and contained ways. She creates a therapeutic relationship that helps nurture deep connection, encourages new way of relating to self, others and the wider world: developing the inner resources to hold both the joys and the challenges of life. Gwen works from a trauma informed, person-centred approach, where both verbal and non-verbal communication are welcomed.

    Gwen has experience of working in inpatient mental health services, community mental health services, as well as in other social sector and charity settings.

HOLISTIC therapist & BODYWORKER

  • Lioba is an experienced holistic health and wellbeing expert who is trained in nutritional therapy, kinesiology and yoga and has worked as a body worker offering shiatsu and massage for over 15 years. 

    She has offered yoga in institutional settings such as schools for both staff and students and noticed a huge benefit of the intervention. 

    She offers a unique approach to health. She addresses the body and sees tension as potential blockages of emotional energy, which can be freed up with slow, intentional touch and breath. She also seeks to address the root causes of health issues by looking at genetic, environmental, lifestyle and psychological factors. 

    She can support you with a combination of bodywork, stress reduction and a nutritional/lifestyle MOT.
